Artist Bios
Nathan Bowles is a Second-Year masters student at Southern Methodist University. He is currently a Vocal Performance major, studying voice as a tenor under Mr. Clifton Forbis. In his undergraduate studying at Minot State University, he has sung with the Western Plains Opera Company in The Barber of Seville, Into the Woods, Orpheus In the Underworld, Rigoletto, The Magic Flute, Le Nozze Di Figaro, and Carmen. During the summers, he has performed with the MSU Summer Theater In shows such as Annie and Godspell. As he completes his graduate degree, his plan moving forward is to pursue an opera career.”

Bethany Jelinek is a First-Year master’s student at Southern Methodist University. She is a soprano studying vocal performance with Dale Dietert. She completed her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at SMU this past spring. In her time at the university, she has sung the role of Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan Tutte and performed in Ned Rorem’s Our Town, Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and various scene programs under the direction of Hank Hammett. She teaches voice around the DFW metroplex, mainly for the Richardson Independent School District in the Lake Highlands area. She is pursuing a career as a professional singer.”
