To all:
I’m very sad to announce that our much anticipated singer, David Lomeli, is unable to be with us on Tuesday evening, June 2, as planned. He’s developed a problem concerning his esophagus, and his doctor has recommended rest and no singing. David is deeply sorry not to be able to sing, and regrets having to cancel his program. He notified his teacher, Nancy Elledge and our own Mary Dibbern in hopes they could help find a replacement program—which they did on the same afternoon. If you ever had an emergency to solve on short notice, you’ll know who to contact!
Three outstanding area artists will, instead, present a wonderful program of arias and duets for us on Tuesday evening.
Soprano Jennifer Chung (Dallas Opera’s “Die Tote Stadt” and “La Wally”) will join bass baritone Donnie Ray Albert (who’s well known to all) and mezzo soprano Natalie Arduino (daughter of Patsy and Bob Brooks) with Mary Dibbern, pianist. All happily and quickly agreed to present our program. We will look forward to a very special evening with these fine artists, and hope to reschedule David for a later date. All the artists were also in agreement that they would dedicate the evening as a benefit to David. We are honored to have them step forward on very short notice in this generous and unanimous spirit of support for a fellow artist.
We have a wonderful group of members and guests who have replied, and the final number will be submitted to the caterer tomorrow. If you haven’t replied, there is a very short window to still make a reservation.
This final event of our year should be a very special and memorable evening. I’ll look forward to celebrating the conclusion of another great year of musical performances with each of you. We all will appreciate the Schulze’s warm and welcoming hospitality once again as well.

The date for our final Puccini Society meeting of the season has been CHANGED. The new date is Tuesday, June 2. The meeting will held be at the home of Enika and Richard Schulze at 6:30 P.M.
The evening will begin with a delicious buffet supper, following which we will have an absolutely wonderful young tenor, David Lomeli, present our program. David serves on the staff of the Dallas Opera as Artist Coordinator. He will be attending an opera meeting out of town very close to the date we originally set, so we are happy to move our program ahead a few days to accommodate his schedule.
Check the links to the web sites below to get an idea of the fabulous evening that awaits us! There are a number of YouTube links on the second site; and you can hear lots of glorious singing!
I’ll look forward to seeing you on June 2. Invitations will be mailed soon with the return envelope enclosed. With a catered buffet, we really do need to get in reservations quickly to get an idea of our number.
