A large crowd of Puccini members (old and new) gathered in the wonderful home of Enika and Richard Schulze yesterday to enjoy “An Afternoon of Opera Favorites” presented by graduate students of Barbara Hill-Moore of SMU. Favorite arias and duets from “Don Giovanni”, “La Boheme”, “Rigoletto”, “Cost for tutti”, “Gianni Schicchi”, and “L’elisir d’more” delighted and thrilled our gathering. Barbara has presented her students for several of our programs through the years, and they are always very special. What better way to spend an afternoon with friends?
We are happy to welcome new members Vic Marriott (who was our photographer of the day) and Jerry and Jinna Lancourt. Special thanks go to Enika and Richard not only for hosting us, but for delicious smoked salmon for our reception. Mac, as usual provided special home-made appetizers; the many other special contributions from others soon disappeared, as well.. Thanks as always to Bettie for sending invitations, making reservations, and along with Jana, check-in.
